Walking Through 2013 in Claire´s World | Lifestyle

Hi peeps!
I can't believe that we're nearing a new year. It seems like only yesterday we were all celebrating the arrival of 2013, and now 2014 is on the horizon.
It's scary how times flies, but people say, as you get older the years go faster. That certainly seems the case.

For me 2013 was an eventful year. It had its ups and downs, but it will be one that I wont be forgetting in a hurry.

2013 saw me finish and graduate 6th form high school, and boy was I glad that that time had come. I was overjoyed school was over, but sad that another chapter in my life had come to an end.

I also had to make a very important decision this year. Choosing between university or a long distance course. After a short period I chose the latter. Now that I've had time to start the course, I've realised I had made the right decision and am thankful for the support I've been getting.

This past year has been full of lessons, but what's life without learning.

#2013TaughtMe that maybe sometimes it's better to think things through rather than choose your first option. Everything is achievable if you have faith in yourself.

As one of my new year resolutions I am going to try my best a posting a least once a week on this blog.

I hope you all have a happy and safe 2014 and thank you for reading a following this blog. It may not be a popular blog, but it always brings a smile to my face to know that people are reading my posts.

Happy New Year!

250g unsalted butter
200g dark muscovado sugar
600g plain white flour
7 tablespoons golden syrup

2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda

For decoration.....

whatever you feel like!

Method

1.Pre heat your oven to 200Âșc

2. Melt your butter, sugar and syrup in a pan on a low gentle heat. Be careful and try not to burn it because then you will have to start again.

3. Mix together the flour, sugar and ginger in a mixing bowl. Then add in the bicarbonate of soda and the cinnamon.
* You can even add in a hint of cayenne pepper if you wish. Just to give your gingerbread a kick.

4.Pour the melted butter, sugar and syrup into the mixing bowl. Stir together until it forms a dough.

5.Tip onto a floured surface and roll out with your rolling pin.

6. Grab your chosen cutter and cut out. Place onto a non stick tray and place it into your oven for 12 - 15 minutes.

Now your ready to decorate. Enjoy

I hope everyone has a happy and safe Christmas, and I will be back in the New Year.

Christmas Baking with Claire.... Rocky Road | Lifestyle

Christmas is my favourite time of the year. It's also the busiest and most stressful time. There's all this rushing around trying to get things done, like buying gifts for loved ones, wrapping up presents, decorating the tree and sending out cards.....the list goes on.

One of the many things I love about Christmas is baking. Every Christmas Eve I'm in the kitchen making some delicious goodies for the festive period.

This year is no different, so I thought I'd share with you two great recipes that you should all try. The first is a recipe I've been using for the past few years. It's simple and easy to make.

A Very Rocky Road

For the ingredients you will need.....

250g dark chocolate
150g milk chocolate
175g soft butter
4 tablespoons of golden syrup
200g amaretto or digestive biscuits which ever you prefer (I've gone for digestive as I think they taste better)
150g red glace cherries
100g sultanas
1 tablespoon icing sugar

Now that you have everything let's begin preparing.

1. Break up both dark and milk chocolate in to small pieces, put into a heat resistance bowl then add  the butter and syrup. Melt on a gentle heat until the chocolate becomes a smooth liquid.

 2. Grab your digestive/amaretto biscuits and put them into a freezer bag, then bash them up with a rolling pin. They need to have a crunchy consistency.

3. Next, divide your cherries into two lots. You want some that are whole and the rest that are halves.

4. Now its time to combined all the ingredients together. Grab yourself a mixing bowl and pour in the melted chocolate and digestives. Stir together then add in the cherries and sultanas. Make sure that everything is covered in chocolate.

5. Line a baking/foil tray with  a few layers of Clingfilm, then cover the base with a piece of baking paper. Tip the mixture into tray smoothing it out as best you can, although it will look bumpy.

6. Pop the tray into the fridge for an hour or until it is firm. After the mixture is set take it out of the and cut it up into bite-size chunks. Sprinkle some icing sugar on top to give that snowy effect.

And there you have it. Rocky Road with a hint of snow. Enjoy.

Hope you liked this posted. If you made some of these then comment and tell me how you got on. Catch you later xxx

Favourite 2013 Christmas Advert

Hello lovelies!

Can anyone believe that in 44 days time it will be Christmas? I can't wait, it's my favourite time of year. You know when its snowing outside and your indoors snuggled up with a hot chocolate and blanket, watching old Christmas movies while the fireplace it lit, giving a lovely warmth to the room. Or you could be going to the beach and sunbathing because its so hot where you live.

One of my favourite things about Christmas are the adverts on the TV. Just something about them always gives me the sense that we're getting closer and closer to the Big Day. My favourite advert this year is the Lidl one.

I don't know why I like it so much. It's not the way the food is wrapped up in wrapping paper. I think the reason I like it so much is the use of song in the background. It's a cover of One Direction's Little Things.

I like the original very much, but after hearing the cover by The Majority Says, I think its so much better. Please don't give me hate for saying that.

Here's the video below of the advert. Hope you like it, and tell me what you think of the cover song. x

Halloween Nails

Double, double, toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Double, double, toil and trouble;
Something wicked this way comes!

Tomorrow or today or yesterday (depending on when and where you are reading this) is the day of All Hallows. Yay it's Halloween, and I thought hey let's do something to celebrate this spooky day by tell ghost stories. Muhahahahahaaaaa. Only joking :)

I never really do much on this holiday (can you call it a holiday?), it's just out here in Spain people don't really celebrate it like they do in England or in America. Ahh to be at a Halloween party in the US...it's gotta be fun.

Anyhow I'm obsessed with painting my nails, and I've seen so many tutorials on nail art. Today I was doing absolutely nothing, until an idea stuck me like a bolt of lightning. Why not do some crazy Halloween nail art? :D

So I went on Facebook and decided to do try and recreate this design.

It looked simple enough and easy to do....boy was I wrong. For me it wasn't as easy as it looked. You see my painting skills aren't the best and I'm not the best when it comes to patience. Anyway after about an hour of my tongue sticking out in concentration, this was the result.

Yes I know...they look awful, and that was just one hand. I'm not even going to show you what the other one looks like.
On an all, I really enjoyed doing this nails, even if they did take ages and look hideous. I personally like the step by step picture tutorial, they so much easier than instructions.

If you liked the nail design then make sure you check out the link bellow, tell me what you think of my attempt (please don't be too harsh).

Hope you all have a happy and safe a Halloween.
See ya later xx

Life Update

Hello lovelies!

God it's been years since I last posted....actually it's probably only been about a month, but that's still a long time. Well...how are you all? (this is beginning to sound like a letter lol)

Anyways, my apologise for not posting in a while. I have been extremely busy. That's one of the worst and most used excuses to have ever been invented, but I have genuinely been busy. So I thought I'd give you a tiny update on my life :

As some of you know, I decided to take a long distance journalism course, well I applied a few weeks back and have now received my books and materials. I've been studying for my trainee reporting and have just started my first unit of coursework. And trust me there's an awful lot of coursework that has to be done, as well as reading tons of books. I'm excited to have started, some of the subjects look tough but at the same time interesting. I have two years to complete my course before I sit the exams....so I've got plenty of time to work and study.

I've also started working as a translator, which gives me some money and helps other people out who can't understand Spanish. It's not a steady job, but hopefully I can soon say that I have a part time job somewhere. Fingers crossed. As well as translating I help my mum out in our shop (have I mentioned that my parents own a shop? well they do...they own an internet cafĂ©) I spent most of my Fridays helping out and serving costumers. The down side is that I don't get paid, but never mind.

I think that's about it. I'm really going to try and post more as I've got loads of ideas...maybe I can do a weekly post on a Friday, as I'm working in the shop. Have to wait a see.

Tatarrr my lovelies....make sure you leave a comment.

Bye xxx

Kiko Vinyl Lips. Liquid Lipstick

Hello my lovelies!

I would like to talk to you all about....lipsticks. There's something about lipsticks or lip-glosses that I absolutely love. I think it's because they're the beauty product that completes your look whenever your applying make up. It's always the concealer and base first, then the powder for contours or blush goes on, then the eye shadow, the liner, mascara and finally there's the lips.

As I might of said before, lipsticks and lip-glosses are my all time favourite beauty product, and over the years my collection has grown and grown. I always make sure that there is something on my lips, even if its Vaseline. With that said, let's get started with this beauty review.

A few months ago I went out and splashed some cash on a whole new make up range at Kiko for my graduation. Anyway, I spent a little too much, as when the bill was rung up I nearly fell over, but I kept telling myself this was an investment and for an important event. :)

In my bag of goodies, I had purchased the Vinyl Lips liquid lipstick in Ardent Cherry. Now let me just say that I was a little reluctant at buying it as none of my lipsticks are such vibrant colours of red. But we must all try out new experiences.

I feel like I'm rambling a bit, so I will get to the point of this review, as I'm sure you're all dying to hear my opinion haha.

I absolutely LOVE this lipstick because it's easy to apply and gives your lips that "wow" factor. It's also long lasting - even if it doesn't say so on the tube - which was brilliant for me as I didn't have to keep going to the bathroom to apply more. I also found the price (€6.90) was quite reasonable.

The other thing I love about this lipstick is that you can apply the colour how it is, or if you feel that its a little to bold then you can tone it down. Just apply some Vaseline to your lips, then using a lip brush take a small amount of lip-gloss from the wand and blend into your lips.

For me Vaseline is essential :)

Here are some photos to show you the finishing touches:

By adding a tiny bit it will give a slight tint to your lips,
giving them a natural and healthy look
Excuse the lack of make up.

Hope you all liked this post, comment to tell me which look you prefer. x

UGG Boots : Love or Loathe?

I have two words for you.... Ugg Boots. If you don't know what Uggs are, then you've probably been living under a rock all your life. Only joking :), but seriously can we please take some time out to appreciate the beautiful creation of Ugg.

I'll admit that when they first came into fashion, my initial thoughts were "what on earth are these things? Surely the can't be classed as boots" I mean they're so chunky and make your feet look like they belong to an ogre. They were a pair of boots that weren't going to have a space in my wardrobe.

But they were a trend setter, and after hearing comments like "they're so snuggly", I went off to my nearest shopping centre to purchase a pair. I was reluctant to buy them at first, but after trying them on, I understood exactly why everyone was raving about these boots.

My pair aren't from UGG Australia as being on a budget didn't allow me to, but that doesn't mean that they're not as comfy.

I can't wait for the winter weather to hit, so I can finally start wearing them again. They may have gone out of fashion now, but they won't stop me wearing them.
Amazing to think that before I couldn't bear Uggs, and now they take pride of place in my winter wardrobe. ;)

My beautiful Ugg boots :)

Choosing A Path In Life Is Never Easy

Hi everyone!

I am so sorry for not posted a lot this week. I've had some really important decisions to make, and I want to share them with you all.

In my previous posts I wrote about the troubles I've been having with trying to get into university (if you haven't read them, then you can click here and here). It was a horrible feeling to know that there was a slight possibility that I wasn't going to get in this year. It was a waiting game and all I could do was hope and pray that someone would drop out, so I could take there place. And they did just that.

A few nights ago, I received a message from the university saying "Congratulations, you have a place on the English course blah blah blah". At this stage fireworks should have been going off and I should have had a huge smile on my face. But there was no smile, instead a cold shiver went down my back and I burst into tears. They lasted all night and I cried most of the next day.
I thought I was crying because I was happy with the news, I wasn't. I realised that an English course wasn't what I wanted, it never was and it never will be.

I had to think long and hard on what I was going to do. Was I going to accept the place at uni and spend 4 years studying for something I don't want? Or follow not only my hear but my dreams and take an online journalism course?

Well, I'm pleased to say that I have made my decision, and I've decided to....decline my university place. I felt that my heart wasn't in it, and that it wasn't fair on someone who did want to do the course. As I may have said in another post, my dream is to become a journalist, and by taking the NCTJ online course I'm one step closer to achieving that.
I cannot tell you how happy I feel now that I have made up my mind. This course isn't going to be easy, but I'm prepared to do whatever it takes.

Choosing a path in life is never easy, but you have to do what you feel is right. You only get one change to live, so go take the risk and listen to your heart, because as the actor, Michael Cain "Life is not a dress rehearsal"

I'm Still Alive

Hey everyone!
This is just a quickie to say no I'm not dead, I'm very much alive and to say sorry for my lack of posts.
It's been a roller-coaster of a week. I found out on Thursday that I have a very big chance of actually going to university this year. I never thought this would happen, but it turns out that I am number 3 on the waiting list for an English Degree. It's not the course I wanted but I'm willing to take it. So I'm really excited yet nervous at the same time, because they could turn round and say sorry but nobody has dropped out of the course. But I'm keeping positive :)

I just wanted to say that I haven't given up on my blog and my readers/followers, because it always puts a smile on my face to know that you lot are out there reading about my crazy life, beauty and fashion reviews etc. That last part sounded really mushy lol!

Anyway, I've got some blog posts and ideas on the go, so hopefully (fingers crossed) they will be up soon.

If you've got any ideas on blog posts for me, then comment down below. I always love hearing from you guys.

The Liebster Award

Hello lovely readers!
When I first started this blog I was told about the Liebster award, and its amazing support. I am ver very happy to say that I have been nominated by Maggie of My Chic Adventure. It means so much to me and I can't thank her enough. Here is a link to her amazing blog, you guys should seriously go and check her blog out because its totally brill.
http://mychicadventure.blogspot.com.

Right so for those of you lovely lot that don't know what the Liebster award is, it's a tag for those blog that have less than 200 followers. It's a fantastic way to help support all the brilliant and talented bloggers on the blogging community. But, how does it work?

A fellow blogger will nominate you, and will leave you 10 questions on their blog. All you have to do is answer them on your blog and then write down 10 different questions for the 10 people you nominate.

So, lets get started and answer the questions I was given.

My Questions:

1. What made you want to start blogging?
I love writing as well as fashion and beauty and I wanted to combined the three. But most of all my main goal is to become a journalist, so starting a blog was a big deal. I also wanted people to be able to see life in my shoes, and that's how I got the name for my blog.

2. What is your favourite part about the blogging community?
The other bloggers and their ability to brighten your day with the comments they leave you. I may not have any followers, but it puts a smile on my face to see that people have read what I've got to say. They're an incredible bunch of talented people, and those people can become close friends of yours no matter what part of world your from.

3. What is your favourite social networking site?
I'm addicted to Twitter and Instagram, so it's got to be those two.

4. Who is your celebrity inspiration?
Gok Wan. He's such a sweet and bubbly person. I love that he cares about other people and wants to help them build their confidence back from whatever body issue or problems like bullying. He's also, in my opinion, the best fashion guru there is.

5. What is your favourite article of clothing?
A few years ago I was obsessed with jeans, but my mind changes like the seasons. For the past year I've had a thing for leggings or jeggings. My mind goes crazy when I see all these different patterns and colours. I also love the fact that I can either dress them up or have a lazy day and put on the comfiest with a jumper or hoodie.

6. What is one thing you could never live without?
I could be boring and say something like water or food or even the internet, but I'm going to say loved ones, like my parents and my close friends. They've been there for me when I've need them, and I am always grateful for that.

7. If you could meet any blogger, who would it be?
This is a tough question. I think it would be Zoe of Zoella. She's a great inspiration to me, she's helped me (as well as others) with panic attacks. I love her mannerism, and the way she is when meeting fans AND of course I love her blog and YouTube channel.

8. What is your favourite beauty product?
I'm a big fan of lipsticks, lip glosses, but my all time must is lip balm. I hate having chapped lips so I always have a tube on me wherever I go.

9. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I've always wanted to go to Venice. And I hope that someday I can say that I have.

10. What is your favourite store to shop at?
I love a shop called Bershka. It's one of the best, but it can be a little bit expensive. I also love Primark, as you can find great bargains in there if your on a budget.

I hope you all learnt something new about me (sorry if some of the answers are long). Again I want to thank Maggie of My Chic Adventure for tagging me in the Liebster Award.

Now here are the lovelies I've tagged. Make sure you check them out, and follow them :

My Questions for you:

What or who inspired  you to start blogging?
What is your favourite season and why?
What's the one beauty product you can't live without?
What city would you like to live in for a day?
What's your dream job?
What is your favourite quote?
What is your favourite store to shop at?
Who is the most influential person in your life?
What are your inspirations in life?
In 10 years time, where do you hope to be?

Can't wait to read the replies.

Big love to everyone xxx

University Update

Hey everyone!
I'm sorry that I haven't posted anything in the last few days, I've been a bit down. :(

To those of you that read my post on Sunday you will know that I had a meeting with the University of Murcia. As I said in the post, I was really nervous about going and didn't know why that had asked me to see them.

Well I went....and its not very good news I'm afraid. They didn't offer me a place, as the last vacancy went a few hour before me. I was devastated. They said that they would keep me on another waiting list, to see if any other places come up, and that they would call me sometime in October.

On the journey back home my mind went into overdrive. I couldn't really focus on what my dad was saying, because all I could think about was what I was going to do. In my head I could see the University dream moving further a further away until I couldn't see it.

I was a mess, but somehow my dad said that it was ok, and that things happen for a reason. He helped me see that if I didn't get into Uni in October, then there were other options for me to take. Not everything was bad. I had to stay positive for my own sake.

As I'm learning now, life isn't always that easy and we don't always get what we want, but we've got to stick with it and never give up on ourselves. Never let the dream stay a dream, someway or another we've got to make it a reality. We've got to make the most of life!

Again, I apologise for not posting in the past few days, I wanted a bit of time to get my head round the news.

If you liked this posted please leave a comment and follow me xx

Waiting on Uni

This post is a little different to my other posts.

Tomorrow I have a meeting with the University of Murcia. I don't know why they have scheduled this meeting, because I'm still waiting on a place there. All I do know is that I'm so nervous as to what will happen, and slightly annoyed. This waiting has been going on now since the middle of July, and I'm still none the wiser as to whether or not I have a place at Uni or not.

I'll admit, I'm scared of what they are going to say tomorrow. All I do know is that I have to fill out some forms. But if I have to fill out these forms, wouldn't that mean I've gotten into university? I'm a nervous wreck at the moment.

Not begin accepted a place first time is disheartening, but to be told that there still isn't a place for you after 2 months of waiting is even worse. Your constantly thinking about it daily. Its horrible and in a way also ruins your summer.  It could also ruin your life, because you want to study at uni but your told "no we don't want you because your grades aren't great" or "we haven't got the places".

I don't know what the next step will be if I don't get accepted. It maybe that I have to move back to the UK, which is something I would like to do, but on the other hand I'll miss my parents and friends.

I'm just going to have to wait and see. I really want to have the student life, studying and working. And Murcia is a beautiful city, that I would love to explore, but if the university says no then that life won't become reality.

So to the University of Murcia, its down to you. My fate is in your hands.

My Mini Shopping Spree

My lovely new jumper :D

Look what I've bought!
So the other day I went to lunch with a few friends because I haven't seen them in a while and it was my best friends birthday. We spent all day having fun and catching up on gossip (as all of us do when we meet up with our girlfriends).
I kinda had this feeling, as it was September and the weather's getting cooler...to go on a shopping spree.

I love shopping, seriously I could spend hours looking for the right outfit or accessory. This was probably the smallest and shortest amount of time I have ever spent shopping, because I only bought one item.
But when I walked into the shop and saw it, I had a "I had to have it" moment. I think most people get them when they go into a shop, they see a top or a pair of jeans and they have to buy them because they can't live without it. Does anyone else get these moments? Or is it just me?

Anyway the top came in 5 different colours (black, grey, brown, cream and pink). I don't really wear a lot of colour in the winter, I tend to wear a lot of black, because I know it goes with anything. But I had an impulse to buy the pink and try to wear more colour this season.

I love the colour, its not an in your face type of pink, but a calm and pale pink, and its really soft and snuggly to wear.

What do you lovely lot think? Is it something you would wear or are you like me and wear a lot of black in the winter? Let me know in the comment box. xxx

Fashion for Harry

Hello! :)

So I was browsing though Sugarscape this morning when I came upon an article about the new Harry Potter fashion collection.
Let me point out to you all first that I am a HUGE Potterhead, so seeing this kinda made me squeal. Upon reading the article and seeing the items, I knew I had to buy some.

The awesome new clothing collection is from the Australian label, Black Milk. This autumn/winter collection is to do with all things magical. There are so many different articles that are so fashionable, it would make anyone buy them. My personal favourites are the Deathly Hallows leggings and the Professor Snape T- Shirt.

I can't wait for the actual launch and to see all the pieces. It's going to be MEGA!!!

Here's a link to the Sugarscape article.
Let me know what you guys think about the collection in the comment box. xx

Vintage Owl Necklace

Last Friday, my mum hosted a jewellery party. For those of you who don't know what a jewellery party is, it's basically when a load of women (or men, but very rarely) get together, have a chat and a glass of wine or in this case coffee and purchase items from a jewellery supplier.

Unfortunately I couldn't be there, but I was told that there were some very nice pieces. And there was one that had made its way to me.

I was speechless when my mum handed me this gorgeous vintage owl necklace. It was so beautiful, and wrapped so carefully in its little blue box. I think I might have actually scream when I saw it.

I've been looking for a necklace like this for ages, but couldn't seem to find one that I absolutely loved and knew I was going to wear. This necklace though, ticks all the boxes. There's detailing, but not that much.
It's a very simple piece of jewellery, and I can't wait to team it up with a cute jumper and a pair of jeans.

Tell me if you like the necklace by leaving me a comment. xx

An unexpected visitor

We had an unexpected visitor of the four legged type come and stay with us this summer. Here's what happened.

A few weeks ago my mum was out talking to some neighbours when a white stray dog appeared. She was gorgeous and looked like a West Highland Terrier. But she was filthy and malnourished. It seemed that this little dog had taken a shine to my mum. And on finding our gate open she decided that we were to become her new family.

Unfortunately we couldn't keep her, as we already have Bobby (my dog) and a grumpy cat. We decided to foster her until she found a permanent home. I knew it wouldn't be long until she did, as she was a lovely dog. But until she found one, she stayed in our front patio and was given food and water, as well as a blanket so she could snuggle. She stayed with us for 2 days.

During the weekend at kind neighbour called on us saying they had bought some dog shampoo and was willing and able to give her a bath, she collected her after lunch and said she would return “Poppy” as I had christened her later in the day. But Poppy never returned because with her cute little face and adorable attics she won over our lovely neighbours in just a short period of time.

I'm thrilled she got a new home and I am happy that she is so close by. She now has a caring family. She got the happy ending she deserved, but there are so many cats and dogs out there that are not so lucky.

I don´t know for certain if she was abandoned or lost but all pets become part of the family and as the Walt Disney film Lilo and Stitch says “Ohana” means family, family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.

Remember you're pets are you're family they just like wearing furry suits.

Here are a few photos of her:
She's such a cutie :)

How depressing is it to know that summer is nearly over, and that we'll all be going back to school or Uni? I for one am so nervous, because I still don't know if I've gotten into university, and if I have then I'm going to have to move to a big new city. All on my own.

A cake baking disaster

Baking. It's such a fun and relaxing experience, don't you think? I love it. It gives me something to do from time to time and also gives me more culinary skills (which are very limited). So as it's my mum's birthday, it was only fit that over the weekend I'd make her a cake. What I didn't expect was help. From my dear old Dad.
Normally, when me and my Dad are cooking together, things don't always go according to plan. There are usually arguments, not to mention things going wrong and the ending result will be someone going off in a strop, that person would usually be me. And this time round was no different.

The morning began well, with both of us having had breakfast, it was then time to start baking. Whilst I was getting the utensils out, Dad got the ingredients that would be needed. Mum had wanted a chocolate sponge cake with buttercream, and her wish was our command.

As I was measuring out quantities, I asked dad to read the instructions. It wasn't until we'd put all the ingredients in all in one go, that I read the instructions. We'd made a HUGE mistake. Instead of shoving the whole lot into a mixing bowl, we had to add each ingredient gradually. To say I was annoyed was an understatement, I was fuming. This was meant to be my Mum's birthday cake, and somebody (meaning my Dad) had completely ballsed up. The mixture was supposed to be smooth and liquidy, instead it was doughy. This cake was going to be a disaster.

The mixture was divided and put into the oven. There was nothing we could do, other than hope and pray that the cake turn out ok. As it was cooking the "blame game" started. I was adamant that I was NOT going to be blamed for not reading the instructions properly. But I'll admit that I should of read them before my Dad.

Anyway, to cut a long story short. The cake took far to long to cook, but turned out to of baked well. Then I went along and ruined it further by attempting to decorate it. All in all it was a complete disaster. It wasn't relaxing at all, more like stressful, but it was a lesson to be learnt.

So as I come to a close on this entry, a few words of advice to all women; Always read the instructions yourself and NEVER EVER let a man interfere when it comes to baking.

Until next time

Hello there | Lifestyle

Hello there and welcome to my blog! As I'm new here I probably should introduce myself.
Hi! my name's Claire, I'm 19 and I was born and raised in the UK. When I was 10 my parents decided to move to the south of Spain taking me with them. Nine years later I'm still living and kinda loving Spain. I have just finished high school, and  I'm now looking to go to Uni and study a degree in journalism.

Ok so that the basics done. Now let's get down to the nitty and gritty stuff about Miss Claire Thomas

I was born on a cold Friday morning on 14th January in 1994. Which makes me a Capricorn.

I am known to be a very shy person and at times I can come off as a bit stand-offish, but to those who know me best I can never shut up.

Friends and family give me weird nicknames like : Claireruchi, Clara Bara or the normal Claire Bear and Clairey.

I'm quite tall, blonde and have blue eyes (which are the envy of all my friends as they all have brown eyes). I'm also an only child - sometimes I wish I had an older brother, but I can't complain.

I read all the time, whether it being a book, newspaper, stories online or even blogs. I'm always reading. I also write a monthly column for a free English magazine. You could say that writing is my passion. Writing is my haven, I feel safe, if that makes sense.

My favourite colour is blue or pink, depending on my mood.

My favourite TV show is Made in Chelsea. It's a reality show which lets you into the lives of many different people. I don't really like reality TV, but Made in Chelsea is one of the best. It's addictive.

I listen to a lot of music, ranging from One Direction, Coldplay, Calvin Harris to Nicki Minaj and Glenn Miller.

I may have tiny obsession when it comes to guys, but hey I'm a girl.

I don't class myself as a fangirl, just someone who likes a certain band or singer. I don't mind other people fan girling, but its just something I wouldn't do.

Twitter is my life. As well as Facebook and Instagram.

Oh...and yes I am single :(

Right I think that's about it for now, if you want to know anything else about me then feel free to ask.

Talk to you guys soon

Claire x

P.S  This is me :)
